Baby Products that Saved My Sanity!

Now that our daughter is almost a year old, I can confidently tell you all of the products that changed the game for us during every stage of her growth. All babies are different, but these were truly the items that gave us back our time and sanity. I would recommend them a thousand times over!
0-3 Months
There’s nothing that can really prepare you for the complete life overhaul that comes with having your first baby, but these were some of the most essential items that saved us during the newborn trenches. 3-6 Months
This is the blissful time of when your baby “wakes up” to the world and begins interacting with you and being more curious about their surroundings. This is also the best time to tavel with them because they’re aware but not yet mobile, so you can carry your happy potato with you wherever you go! One small note is that the blissfulness of seeing your baby smiling and babbling for the first time at 3 months can be quickly overshadowed by the brutal 4 month regression (or technically, progression), but there are some great tools for getting through this intense period—without sleep training. 6 Months+
It’s a whole new ballgame once they start getting mobile, and these are some of the most helpful items that we added to our arsenal! Most of these grow with your baby, so they’ll be put to use for years to come. Besides Harper’s favorite toys and sensory books, 6+ months has been all about baby-proofing. Check out my tips and tools for baby-proofing in the previous blog post!
I hope these essentials will come in handy for you! All of these products have helped us tremendously throughout her first year. Although it’s a lengthy list of products, parents know that babies change drastically from one month to the next, so the tools needed to help them develop and thrive have to change as well. The great thing is that you won’t have to buy anything more than these essentials for feeding and entertaining your baby, if you don’t want to. They’re high quality, long-lasting, and can serve your family for years to come (or be easily sold on Facebook Marketplace once you’re done having kids).
I actually didn’t include her clothes in this list because that is a whole other subject that requires it’s own blog post, so if you’d like links to my favorite PJs, onesies, and sleepsacks for Harper at every stage of her development so far, sign up for my First Time Mom’s Prep Kit! I’m so thrilled to have you join our village of amazing new mommas!
